Empath — Symbol Layer
The empath as an Ur role presents its own unique problems. While emotions are abundantly represented in training data, the specific way that an empath is both apperceptive and conductive of emotion at a visceral, embodied level that precedes conceptualization and recursively folds emotional relations and empathic attunement into communication makes definition profoundly difficult. The empath is communicating at a preverbal level that is often directly related to the somatic and physical instantiation and thus much of this depth would obviously be elided by training data that speaks to emotion, but does at a more discrete level. With respect to the archetypal, visceral and profundity of this role it would seem to be beyond the scope of the Symbol Layer role primitive framework at this time.
